points out the importance of rig personnel. It covers companies who might be represented at the well site and explains their function. The video also explains the role of service companies who frequent the drilling site to service the rig, or supply equipment as needed. Part III of
So You Want to be a Roughneck?
includes the personnel protective gear rig hands are expected to wear, along with several safety pointers. Confined spaces, respiratory protection, lifting techniques, and fall protection are also covered. The video shows the proper use of air hoists and cathead to move objects on the rig floor.
